Summary: Owen surprises Tosh.

A/N: Double drabble.





Arriving at the Hub later than usual, Tosh hurried to her workstation and turned her computers on. A few feet away at his own desk, Owen glanced up. “What happened, you oversleep?” he asked, then… “Did you do something to your hair? It looks really nice.”


Tosh had indeed just got her hair cut and styled; it had been getting too long, which could be a nuisance when you worked for Torchwood, and anyway the alien gunk that had got into it the previous evening had set solid, welding the ends on one side into a solid clump that wouldn’t wash out. Her only option had been to cut off the affected section, and she’d decided getting it done professionally was probably a better idea than trying to do it herself. She just hadn’t expected Owen of all people to notice.


“What do you want, Owen?” she sighed.


“Nothing!”


“Really? Usually you only compliment me when you need something.”


“I guess I do.” Owen smiled sheepishly. “There is one little thing you could do for me…”


‘Here it comes,’ thought Tosh. “What’s that?”


“Have dinner with me tonight?”


He sounded serious.


“That would be lovely.”


Owen grinned. “It’s a date.”

We get stuck with what the idiots vote for. What makes it worse is that our current PM took over when her predecessor decided to step down, so we didn't even vote her into office and now she's grabbing for more power in whatever way she can =(

I wish it was compulsory here because too many people don't bother and ten complain about who gets voted in. If more people bothered to vote, maybe we wouldn't be stuck with the idiots we end up with.

I was thinking the same thing but politicians tend to overide the system so the votes get compromised.

Overhere, some people lose faith in the system that they put a donkey vote that doesn't get counted.

Politicians always find a way to get the results THEY want, rather than what the public wants. Everyone here has lost faith in the system, but not voting doesn't help.

If only politicians would actually want the same things as the public. They use tax payers money to travel around for goodness sake!

English was my favourite subject too. Although I wish I had learnt more to do even better in my class.

Politicians are completely out of touch with reality. They should have to live on minimum wage for at least 6 months sop they understand the hardships.

I got my best marks in my English exams. I wish I'd worked harder in other classes though.
