Summary: Not everyone is cut out to be a Torchwood operative.

As potential new recruits went, Harry Randolph didn’t get off to a good start.
At his first sight of Myfanwy, he shrieked like a girl and leapt into Owen’s arms, much to everyone else’s amusement.
He didn’t endear himself to Ianto either, loudly announcing that coffee was as bad as any drug and he’d only drink herbal tea or water. His strict diet meant he didn’t eat junk food either.
To cap it all, he passed out while observing an alien autopsy and cracked his head open.
At least the head injury provided the perfect explanation for his memory loss.

Date: 2013-07-21 01:20 pm (UTC)I think it's back to the drawing board, Jack needs to be more careful when interviewing potential recruits. There are a few things he needs to add to his list of requirements for potential recruits.
...Must love coffee and be willing to eat junk food at least some of the time.
...Must not be scared of large birds.
...Must not be sqeamish and prone to fainting.

Date: 2013-07-22 04:45 pm (UTC)Yeah, I think you're right about Harry. Very smart guy, (I'm back, had to go rescue mum from a spider. What was I saying? Oh yeah.) Vert smart guy, but not a good fit for Torchwood Three, he seems to be lacking in certain areas, especially not being a coffee addict. Torchwood Three runs on coffee after all.

Date: 2013-07-24 02:21 pm (UTC)It's amazing how much British and American English differs, considering they're essentially the same language. I think Australian English is also different to both. Someone should write a lexicon comparing the three, I'm sure it would help fanfic writers no end!
