Bunny News!

Just a quick note to let you all know Misty's op went well and he is home and busily ignoring me. I have a very nice view of his rear end, lol!

He goes back next Wednesday for his post-op check and I'm really hoping this is the last time I'll have to put him through the whole surgey ordeal.

On May 5th I will have had him 8 years - he was only 6 or 7 weeks old when I got him. Hopefully I'll have him for a while yet.

Yep, pretty much! He doesn't have a lot of ways to tell me he's pissed off, so usually he just turns his back on me and acts like I don't exist. until it's time for food anyway, lol!

He's relaxing in the sunshine now - by tomorrow he will have more or less forgotten that he's mad at me.

ROFL! Good description. He has a cute fuzzy tail though, so I don't really mind. He goes back in a week for his post-op check.

Now we're just waiting to hear from my sister who was having minor surgery with a local anaesthetic for carpal tunnel syndrome today. Knowing her, she won't bother to phone mum to tell her she's okay, mum will have to phone her to find out.

Yeah, it's a huge relief because of his age. I don't mind being ignored, at least he CAN ignore me =)

I went shopping instead of moping around at home, so now I'm exhausted too.

My sister is fine too - as I expected, mum had to phone her. She'll be off work for between 2 and 6 weeks. It's crazy, I never had that long a recovery time even with more invasive surgery! Of course, it's her right hand and she's right-handed, so I guess everything is going to be awkward for some time.

Glad he is doing well! Pets are family members when ever they are sick, it hurts as much or even more to the ones who love them. Hope all continues well!

He's bright and happy (and hungry) this morning, so things are looking good! I'm just glad it's over for now. Post-op chek-up in a week, then we'll go from there. I'll probably have to take him back in a couple of months just to see whether his teeth are still growing. i want to know when they stop, so he doesn't end up with teeth that are too short. He doesn't have many left as it is.

Misty did very well at his check-up, the vet is pleased. His next check-up is at the end of July, just to see if his teeth are still growing.
