Drabble: Hair Raising

Summary: Jack’s latest death gives Ianto unexpected cause for concern.

Jack can heal from anything. Literally. Sometimes a little assistance is required, like sticking bits that get lopped off back where they belong so his amazing healing abilities can knit him together again, but disgusting as that task is, Ianto’s grown used to it.


This is different. Jack died of smoke inhalation before being burned. The burns are healing, but he’s bald. Ianto’s devastated; what’ll he tell Jack when he wakes up? It wasn’t like he could stick Jack’s hair back on. He needn’t have worried though; even as he watches, Jack’s scalp sprouts new hair. Maybe Jack won’t notice.

*shudders* Poor Jack. That's my greatest fear, as far as dying is concerned.

And the hair--he's got such great hair. He's so impossibly gorgeous, anyway, and so keenly aware of it; that'd be such a blow to his confidence.

I know, it would be utterly terrifying, I share your fear. that and being buried alive.

Ianto will have to keep Jack occupied and away from mirrors until his hair has resumed its former glory. I'm sure he can come up with a distraction ;)

We can trust Ianto to keep Jack distracted till he's back to his usual gorgeousness. It must be so hard on Ianto, though to have to keep seeing him come back - but at least he does

That does sound like it's not always a pleasant job to stitch Jack together, but I do like that Jack can regrow hair quikcly (too). ::)

After death,Jack is supposed to reset to how he was before, so I figured that meant his hair too. Must be bizarre to watch o_O

I wouldn't like Ianto's task of putting Jack's bits back where they belong *shudders*
