Summary: Ianto knows things about the Hub that the rest of Torchwood don’t.

Deep in the Hub, deeper even than the archives, and the cells where aliens displaced by the Rift live out their lives until they can be returned to where they belong, there are rooms and tunnels that have never been used, space enough that every person now living in Cardiff could probably hide out there in relative safety in the event of invasion or some other disaster.


Ianto likes it down there. He spent days mapping the tunnels when he first arrived, finding previously unknown entrances. That’s how he got Lisa into the Hub.


Harkness still doesn’t have a clue.

I did think it was odd that Jack was in the dark on that one.

Too busy with hiding his own secrets like in "Adrift"?

I think the Adrift secret was kept from certain people for good reasons, but Gwen wouldn't let it go so he let her find out.

Jack only took over at Torchwood at the Millennium, 6 years before Lisa. I think he hasn't had time since he gained full access to explore the full extent and doesn't bother with the lower levels because they're not in use and he has more important things to deal with. Ianto was highly motivated to explore though.

Gwen has tunnel vision.

Jack does what he believes is best no matter how it looks.

You're not the only one. I'm in a gloomy place right now, having health problems and computer problems.

Jack doesn't care about appearances, he believes in doing the best he can regardless of what anyone else thinks.

I have my own theories about the events in Adrift, which I might get around to writing someday.

Gwen just always thinks she's right about everything, even when she doesn't have any of the necessary information.

For all his faults - which we make allowances for - Jack always does the best he can. It's never easy for him but he copes well. Now he has Ianto to support him.

Yeah, but at this point he doesn't have Ianto, and though he doesn't know it yet, Ianto doesn't have Lisa.

One of my cousins had a heart attack. He is okay now. His wife had just given birth to their second child, a daughter. So I'm an aunty again.

I was going to bring my laptop for my uncle to look at but I couldn't remove the batteries out. My brother said it could be dangerous on the plane.

I never understood the purpose of Gwen being part of the main cast. I know RTD had his reasons but it doesn't mean I should like it.

I just came to an epiphany about my crush.

I know people do take their laptops on planes, but so many airline rules have become more strict, you have to be careful.

As far as I'm concerned, Gwen was just a bad idea from the start. She wasn't even competent to be a police constable.

I've failed to see someone make a satisfying meme on what made Gwen a descent character.

Eg: When Gwen marries Rhys, she never cheats on him.*eyeroll*

If only coming to an epiphany made feelings go away.

In one of the audio dramas, Gwen actually says she has no regrets about anything. How shallow is that? She doesn't regret cheating on Rhys, drugging him, all the people she got killed because of her stupidity... Anyone who says they regret nothing is either lying, stupid, or so arrogant they think they can do nothing wrong. >=[

I wish I was better at lowing my expectations and just learn things without worrying about how people view me.

Gwen was definitely an unsympathetic person. It was unbelievable.

I hope most people who say they don't regret anything are stupid or lying.

I'm always saying to myself if only I had...

I think most people worry about what other people might think of them. it's natural, but not helpful. And then I dwell on something I did or said that I'm embarrassed about when probably nobody else gave it a second thought. =/

It's all about having a coping mechanism.

The serenity prayer is for people who are trying to stay clean of substance abuse or a compulsive disorder.

"Give me the strength to accept the things I cannot change. The things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."

I've read some self-help books over the years.:)

They're a great gift, mum and I used to buy them for each other. I have a huge collection, and now I have all mum's too. I remember how thrilled she was with each new one. Bittersweet memories.
