Drabble: What’s Cooking?

Title: What’s Cooking?

Summary: There are many delicious aromas, but this isn’t one of them.

Searching for Ianto one day, Jack eventually tracked him down to the lower kitchen where he prepared meals for Myfanwy and the alien residents. He was slowly stirring a large pot bubbling on the stove, and was sensibly wearing protective gear over his suit as well as a mask covering his nose and mouth to keep from breathing the noxious odours wafting about. Jack’s eyes immediately started watering from the stench.


“If that’s dinner, I’m firing the cook!”


“Sure you don’t want a taste?” Ianto asked sounding amused.


“I’ll pass. What is it?”


“Laundry day. I’m washing the Weevils’ overalls.”

EWWW now why does not just use the washing machine which I am sure he has in the hub somewhere.

Like he's going to wash smelly Weevil stuff in the same machine he uses for Jack's clothes! the smell gets everywhere! (Besides, it doesn't work, you really have to boil them to get them clean and fresh).

Surely there must be another laundry somewhere? Even the residents won't appreciate that smell in the place where their food is prepared!

Perhaps after this, Jack will authorise a special Weevil laundry, lol! Ianto gets thrpugh a lot of air freshener.

Eugh :( Shouldn't they have separate laundry facilities? I bet that someone as fastidious as Ianto would make sure of that.

Now he's seen what Ianto has to go through every week, you can be sure that Jack will authorise the setting up of a Weevil laundry with heavy duty washing equipment. I bet Ianto staged that scene for that specific purpose ;)

Oh, that's a classic! I loathe Gwen but I have a couple of weird ones of her.

He does, and Jack knows it. Ianto doesn't take any nonsense from Jack, and will willingly punish him when necessary. Which Jack likes much more tan he should ;)
