Fic Of The Week - Week Fifty Six

Another cold and snowy Monday, but still I battle through to bring you another fic rec!

10 chapters this time, but they're very short chapters so they should be easy to fit in during coffee breaks etc., lol!

Shatterpoint is by chelseafrew and is from January 2009. It's Jack/Ianto, NC-17 and less than 16,000 words.

Warnings/Spoilers: Non-con (of a fashion), dark themes, torture/No spoilers, but set between 2x1 and 2x6

Summary: Ianto falls unconscious, and no one knows why. Jack sits vigil.

Well, the weather certainly isn't helping, lol! I'm wearing a hat and gloves indoors, despite double glazing and central heating!

I'm not in good health anyway, just have to live with that, but the below zero temperatures are making all the aches achier and I'm just blah =(

I'm sorry you're feeling so poorly. We had no heat for several days at New Year's, so I have new appreciation for how the cold just makes everything worse!

Thank you. Thankfully we have heating - though it doesn't seem to be helping much. Back in December 2010, when we had burst pipes and the house (my room in particular) was sodden, that's when our heating decided to quit on us. -15 temperature at night, below freezing at night, a wet house and no heating. I didn't even have a bed to sleep in, I was sleeping on an inflatable mattress in the living room because my bedroom ceiling was unsafe. So, this isn't as bad as back then, but it's still no fun. I guess I'll survive.

Hope you manage to finish last week's fic, I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to reading this week's too, I'll start it later this evening.

It is freezing here at the moment. Literally.
I have 3 jumpers on at the moment. I'm toasty warm. Been drinking ridiculous amounts of tea all day as well. That seems to help.
I recommend snuggling up in bed early with a cup of tea, a hot water bottle and some good fic :-)

Thankyou! *gratefully accepts snuggly hugs* It's been a pretty dismal day with the weather. I'm staying in as much as I can. It's the wild birds I feel most sorry for, out there all day! We're feeding them as much as we can.

Hot soup is good too, and my favourite hot Ribena!

It's so cold, even my hot flushes have given up! I'm nice and warm now though, after being cold most of the day. I'm going to relax with fic later, watching something about Jaguars on TV first.
