It was disconcerting, Ianto decided. That was the only way to describe it. He was accustomed to the peculiarities mishandled alien tech sometimes inflicted on the team, it’d happened more times than he could remember offhand, but this…

He winced at his choice of phrase; ‘hand’ and ‘off’ were not words he wanted to hear together right now. He watched the shadows, unsure where Jack’s detachable hand might accost him from next.

Something touched his arm and he yelped, jumping about a foot.

“Ianto? Are you okay?” asked Tosh.

“No! It’s like being stalked and groped by Thing!” Ianto complained.

I wrote all my drabbles last Monday, so that was before you posted your fic, which I haven't had time to read yet - I have over 70 short fics and drabbles piled up to read when I have time *sighs*

When writing takes precedence, reading has to take a back seat unfortunately. I'll catch up, I always do, but not this week *looks at fic_promptly* Glad it's only Challenge Week and not Contest Week.

Yeah, she kind of lost her writing mojo and then real life started taking precedence, but she did pop by to comment on one of my fics a few weeks back and we email occasionally. She's doing good.
