Spoilers: The Witch’s Familiar

Summary: Clara only has so much control over her stolen Dalek shell.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.

It’s the goal of every Dalek to exterminate anything that isn’t a Dalek. It makes for a rather monotonous existence but Daleks don’t care because they can’t get bored or dissatisfied with their lot in life; the only emotion they’re capable of feeling is hate, it’s hardwired into their bodies and their shells so completely that it defines them.

Inside the Dalek’s casing, hooked up to it via electrodes attached to her head, Clara has control over its movements, but she can’t change its basic nature. When she says the words ‘I love you’, all that comes out is “Exterminate!”

Daleks aren't slow but they are limited in vocabulary.

Yeah, I really need to watch the Ninth Doctor episodes again, there was some great stuff in that season!

I didn't notice that the episodes in the first series were technically Earth based until I hear RTD explained why.


My favourite episode is "Boom Town" between Nine and Margaret.:)

When I think about it more, I realise series 1 was pretty good all round. Although now knowing where Rose ends up...

I'm in a cute animal pic mood at the moment. I never had a close encounter with a guinea pig but I did look after a white rabbit. I think I mentioned "Snowball" before.*tries to remember*

Probably. My first rabbit was Snowy when I was little. there wre 4 others after him, and 16 guinea pigs over the years. They're my favourite pets =)

The rabbit was called Snowball because her owner thought that she looked like one.:)

Snowy was like that too, pure white. My rabbit Misty was similar, but he was a snowball with dirty edges. His ears, tail, toes and nose were brown =)

A girlfriend of my brother had a cat called Misty. She was very fluffy.

Snowball liked Cos lettuce. Never ate the normal stuff.

My Misty refused to eat hay. As a result he ended up having dental surgery twice a year to trim his teeth because he wasn't wearing them down.

Snowball ate the grass in my backyard if she didn't get her food yet. She was a great mini grass trimmer.:D

Grass and hay are the best foods for rabbits since that's their natural diet and chewing it wears their teeth down. Rabbit teeth keep growing throughout their lives, until around 8 or 9 years of age, according to George my vet. It they don't get worn down they grow too long and dig into the inside of the rabbit's cheeks, causing a lot of pain. That's why Misty needed surgery so much. In every other way, he was the perfect
pet rabbit. I miss him.

I was told by my vet that my cat had to eat a certain dry snack to help keep her teeth clean. She likes wet food more.

Pets are just like people - they're never keen on what's best for them. How do you explain to an animal that they have to eat this for their own good?
