Title: Under The Weather

Author: [livejournal.com profile] badly_knitted

Characters: Ianto, Team.

Rating: G

Written For: Challenge 401: Cold at [livejournal.com profile] tw100

Spoilers: Nada.

Summary: The members of Team Torchwood are under the weather from being under the weather.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

Sniffles and hastily muffled sneezes echoed throughout the Hub. Ianto made a mental note to buy more tissues when he did the lunch run; the way they were going through the available supply, they’d run out soon. He blew his nose, dropped the soggy tissue into his rubbish bag, and went to work emptying the bins.

Outside, the sun was shining on a balmy summer day. Ianto hated it. Why couldn’t it have been like that last week when they’d spent all day chasing down a swarm of giant bugs? Then maybe they wouldn’t have caught this stupid summer cold.

The End

Poor Ianto. He should know that the weather really doesn't have anything to do with catching cold. it just helps you feel more miserable about it.

Good for him. I'm surprised they don't have C-packs, though.

Your health care system is a little scary.

Wow, I don't buy $104 for our combined prescriptions, thanks to our insurance.

You will never hear me bemoaning what my insurance doesn't cover because in the end, it covers a heck of a lot. And when I had my two back surgeries, I never paid a penny, thanks to w/c insurance. Of course, I worked in insurance for thirteen years, so I may be partial.

Funny how when you're not feeling well all you can think of is how it feels to feel well. The sun shining only makes it worse.

I always remember this heatwave year of 1976, and I had caught a kind thing angina, just at the beginning of summer vacation. And prohibited from go in the pool that my brother had dug the previous year ... it was hot, full of sunshine and blue sky and I was sentenced to my room ....
beurkk!

a cold is less serious! and it seems that it can not be treated, whatever you do. Not until it passes (about 5 days)
