Drake studied the menu. The restaurant was much fancier than he was used to and the choices were a bit bewildering to an ordinary Joe like him.

“D’you think we should order an appetizer?” he asked JJ, frowning at the long list of soups and starters.

JJ looked back at him across their table, biting his lip in that adorable way he had. “I’m not really that hungry, maybe we should just go straight to the main course, then head up to our room for dessert.”

Drake nodded agreement. “Good plan. Maybe we can order chocolate sauce from room service.”

Drake's learning, JJ is a good teacher and he brings out Drake's protective side. Drake is determined to get this relationship right, even if he doesn't have a clue what he's doing!

Thank you! Yes they do. They're making progress and Drake's getting into the swing of things. I'm trying to write more Drake/JJ because a friend of mine is a big fan of the pairing and gave me some prompts. I like prompts, all kinds of prompts for FAKE *hint hint*

I'm busy committing Dee/Ryo smut because Dee got tired of waiting for me to write some ans started insisting, to the point that he hijacked one of the fics I was working on and turned it from G to NC-17. When I get it finished, is there any chance of you taking a look at it to make sure I haven't made them do anything physically impossible?

I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to read and respond to this comment until now, because I would have been happy to look at your NC-17 fic for you. I see you've already posted it, though. I'm about to leave work, so I'll have to read it later, but I"m looking forward to it.

Oh no I haven't, so don't worry, it's no problem! The one I just posted is just a minor smutty snippet, I'm still working on the other one and it's going to be a while before it's done, minimum another week or two probably, because it's Challenge Week now, and I've been writing bits of it in between pieces for other challenges for ages. It starts out really tame, but ends up very explicit indeed, it's already nearly at 4000 words, so it's a long one, although only part of it is smutty. It's the most explicit piece I've ever written though, which is why I want to get it right.

There's no rush, so if you're willing, just let me have an email addy I can send it to when it's done. I still have a massive backlog of un-posted fics (over 200 across several fandoms) anyway.

Hee! Your comment about extra body parts reminded me about a particular painting done by Norman Rockwell. It contained one of his few mistakes. He gave a man an extra leg. Take a look at the grocery clerk in this picture, and observe where he's resting his right hand.
