I think Donna was pretty good at profiling Ten with the limited time she had with him during "The Runaway Bride". The title of the episode is pretty contradictory.
Anyway the fact that Ten STILL stuffed up is only a reflection on him not paying attention to the little things that matter in the end. The more reason he needed Donna because she didn't idolized him.
The part where Ten asks her to come with him and she softly say's no. He goes all sad puppy face and she still resisted him. I thought at the time that woman is strong and knows her priorities.
Then the roles are sort of reversed when Donna track's him down, from the start of "Partner's In Crime". His the one who is reluctant because of what happened with Martha,(better late than never). Then everything was great until the end of series 4.:(
