Yeah, stupid of me really, I was making sure the other side of the car was clear and.... Well, all fixed now. Thankfully, I have a wonderful mechanic who comes to my rescue every time something daft happens. After a bit of wrestling, he managed to pop it back where it should be. I guess you could say my car was suffering from a dislocated wing mirror. I wasn't strong enough to pop it back, though I did try - I wasn't even sure it could be done. They're designed to spring back if you catch them on something, but of course mine popped right out of the socket. Typical! My poor little (rather wide) car. Best of all, the repair was free of charge! I've had the same mechanic since I got my first car over 30 years ago - he was just a trainee then, working with my brother-in-law. Now, he's in charge!
