Summary: There’s a new buffet bar in Cardiff…
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: For one of the prompts I didn’t get around to using for tw100’s challenge 292: Billboard Hot 100 last year. I’ve dug them out again to supplement the prompts I got from my f-list, just because there are still loads I wanted to use. Prompt at the end.
Ianto had known that the whole team going out to the new buffet bar for lunch was a terrible idea, but he’d suggested it anyway, just because he really wanted to go and the rest of the team would bitch and moan if he went on his own and didn’t tell them.
So here they were, seated around a table, plates filled with their selections, ready to tuck in when Jack finally arrived with a massively overloaded plate.
“What on earth have you got there?” exclaimed Tosh.
“Oh, I just thought I’d try a little bit of everything,” Jack beamed.

Except that I have a small appetite and in the end it makes a big plate (even not taking what I do not like, often mixtures of salad, pasta, cold potato)

He should probably explain to Jack that the general idea in those kinds of places is not to put too much on your plate so you can't eat it all, but to go back for several smaller helpings so that you still get to try everything but without the risk of wasting food.
(And if he's really sneaky he can send one of the girls to get some for him as well when they have finished what they want so he doesn't look like such a glutton!)
