Title: Lashing Out

Author: [livejournal.com profile] badly_knitted

Characters: Ianto, mentions Tanizaki, Lisa and Jack

Rating: PG

Spoilers: Cyberwoman.

Summary: All Ianto’s plans are coming unravelled.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

A/N: For one of the prompts I didn’t get around to using for tw100’s challenge 316 earlier this year. I’ve dug them out again to supplement the prompts I got from my f-list, just because there are still loads I wanted to use. Prompt at the end.

Tanizaki was supposed to help Lisa; now he’s dead and Ianto’s panicking. Everything’s falling apart, all that planning for nothing. He hides the body, even though there’s little point.

Lisa’s out of control, everyone knows, and Jack has a gun to his head. The day can’t get any worse. Why should he keep quiet any longer?

“I clear up your shit. No questions asked and that's the way you like it. When did you last ask me anything about my life?”

It’s a low blow, but it hits its mark; they all look guilty.

It only makes him feel worse.

The End

A/N2: Prompt used is ‘No Questions Asked’

Poor Ianto...he tried so hard to save her, and in the end it didn't work.

Ianto's rant broke my heart and made me a fan.

Of them all, he very quickly became a favorite. I guess I just like the underdog; the life he led up until that point, especially the nightmare of Canary Wharf. I guess this was the beginning of the eventual end for Jack, just like Alex. Ianto deserved better...

Ugh, that was a hard moment. He was right to call them on it, though. What he did was wrong, but they could've at least reached out. Lisa would sadly still be dead, but perhaps hers would've been the only life lost.

I like this.
I like how you used the present tense for a change.
It gives it momentum and a sense of inevitably- like watching a train wreck in slow motion.
