FAKE Drabble: Evening In

Setting: Shortly after the manga.

Summary: Dee comes over for dinner and the basketball game.

A/N: This one’s a double drabble. Prompt at the end.

They’d left work on time for once and headed to Ryo’s apartment. Bikky hadn’t exactly been thrilled about Dee staying for dinner, but as the basketball game started, the two of them settled down companionably enough to watch.

Ryo joined them after loading the dishwasher, settling on the sofa, noticing the way Bikky glared at Dee as if daring him to try something. Dee remained glued to the game.

At halftime, Bikky was sent to bed, and Ryo snuggled up against his partner with Dee’s arm draped around him.

“Y’know, the brat’s gonna find out about us eventually.”

Ryo smiled.

“I know; I just didn’t want this evening to be spoiled, not when you two actually seemed to be getting along for once.”

Dee tore his attention away from the game long enough to smirk at Ryo.

“We can agree on most things basketball related, long as it’s not the Knicks or the Bulls playing.”

The rest of the game was watched in silence; it wasn’t until it ended that Ryo spoke again.

“Are you heading home or what?”

“What d’you want me to do?”

Ryo leaned in for a kiss.

“Stay the night?”

Dee grinned.

“Thought you’d never ask.”

Aww so sweet. I love this :-)
I could just see bikky glaring at Dee thinking he is protecting Ryo when really all he's doing is stopping the lovers from getting a cuddle. It's kind of sweet that they are hiding their relationship for now to keep the peace, but they will have to tell him soon.
I would love to see a sequel from bikky's point of view where he comes back in the room and sees them hugging and overhears them talking and realises they are a couple and Ryo is more than happy about that fact... (pretty please?...)

Bikky will probably find out about them in the morning. Maybe he'll catch them kissing in the kitchen! Ryo just wanted a peaceful evening without being caught in the middle of some kind of fight.

Ryo just wanted an evening without yelling and arguments. He and Dee have only been together a short while and this is probably the first time Dee has stayed over at Ryo's place while Bikky's there since
they became a couple.

I have an idea, but not quite what you describe. It'll be the morning after...

Just don't let me forget to write it because I'm shattered from the trip to the hospital and will likely forget. I'm not sure I can string two words together today, fic-wise. I still have to go wash the dishes too. *sigh* Better do that next.
