They are growing up fast! It's so sad that being themselves and showing affection for each other got them bullied. Kids can be so cruel. Glad Jack was able to put a stop to it quickly though, but sad that they had to hide that side of their friendship. It was different at primary school because everyone was used to it - it was just how Jack and Ianto had always been.
It was very mature of Ianto to suggest they help out back stage, instead of sulking about not getting cast for the year 7 play. And their hard work and dedication paid off when they were given the main roles in year 8 :-)
