Summary: Some days, weirdness becomes the norm if you’re Torchwood.

A/N: Two linked drabbles to finish off with, just because I’m in a silly mood today.
“Allo, mate!”
The voice came from behind Ianto and he spun around, looking for its source but not seeing anyone; the park was deserted this early in the morning.
The Rift alert was minor, but Jack had decided they’d better check it out anyway. They hadn’t found anything obvious so had widened their search area, separating to cover more ground, to no avail. Still nothing, except for that mysterious voice.
Something tugged at his trouser leg.
“Down 'ere!”
Looking down, Ianto raised an eyebrow and spoke into his comms.
“Jack, there’s a weed talking to me.”
“I’ll be right there.”
OoOoOoOoO
To Jack’s credit, he didn’t ask if Ianto had been drinking. Ianto almost wished he had been, even though it wasn’t even 8 am yet.
“You’re a weed.”
“Am not! I's flower!”
“Whatever. Why’re you talking to me?”
“No one else ‘ere. Which way to castle pleez?”
“Why d’you want to know?”
The weed waved a flyer at him.
“Sez ‘ere, visit Cardiff, see castle! Millennium Centre! Norwegian Church! Cardiff Bay! Bute Park! Found park, very nice, now castle!”
Jack jogged up.
“What’ve we got?”
Ianto shrugged.
“Lost tourist, apparently.”
Which was how Ianto became tourist guide to a flower.

Date: 2014-05-10 09:37 pm (UTC)One day I might write the story of Ianto and the weed on the tourist trail, but right now I've finally got back to my bingo fics. I'm writing the Miniatures fic and it's already almost 3000 words. Why can't I seem to write anything short for the bingo? I'll need to find a beta once I'm getting near the end, but I have no clue how to end it. I'm considering splitting it in two for the Miniatures square and Adventure/Quest, but I'd need help deciding where to split it and how to make it work as a two-parter.

I'd be happy to beta your "miniatures" story when you're ready. Maybe I can help figure out where to split it up. :)

Date: 2014-05-11 10:32 am (UTC)I have no idea how to end it at the moment though, I'll have to see what happens when I try to write a bit more. I know how they'll get back into the Hub, and then I guess Tosh will un-miniaturise them... Or maybe they'll figure it out themselves and never tell the rest of the team what happened, that could be fun. Their secret adventure, lol!
I really need help with splitting it and deciding which part should be for which prompt, it might require a bit of re-writing, I'm not sure. At the moment I'm thinking the first half should be for Miniatures 'cause that's where they get shrunk and the second for the Adventure/Quest part...
