Summary: It’s time for Jack and Ianto to move on with their own lives.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

A/N: My eighth drabble for this prompt.

Today was the day. Jack and Ianto stood together, looking across the Hub one last time.

The new team was fully trained, confident in their abilities. Their leader had earned their trust, loyalty and respect. She would do a fine job of policing the Rift and protecting Cardiff’s residents.

There was nothing left for them to do.

Gwen and Rhys had left years ago to raise their family.

Tosh and Owen followed a few years later.

Now it was time for Jack and Ianto to discover their own life after Torchwood.

This wasn’t the end; it was just the beginning.

Maybe they already do have children, I'm not sure if this is in my universe where they have a daughter or not, but they ARE both immortal, so there's plenty of time for having a family if it's not, lol!

I love open challenges, I haven't even looked at the reverse fandom prompts, I'll save them for another time, there are so many to choose from. I've even used some of the prompts to inspire FAKE drabbles, just for some variety in my writing. I need to get some more Torchwood ones written though if I'm going to keep up with you! I hope the challenge continues a bit longer, I still hasve prompts I want to write for.

I'm thinking this is part of the Curry Club 'verse, so they're off to explore the universe with regular trips back to earth to catch up with their friends. The Doctor gives them a lift back a couple of times a year.

There will be more at some point, it depends on where my mind goes with drabble prompts and on what plot bunnies come along. at the moment I'm swamped with other ideas, but I do intend to write more.

yeah!!!! it's great.
they will finally be able to live their lives.
but they are likely to get bored? unless they meet the Doctor. Or they have a space ship at them.
it is true that Jack has the experience of time. he knows how to deal and with Ianto it will be even better.

and Nosy? he died? as it is an alien, I think that may be Nosy has very long life expectancy.

I think this one probably isn't in the Nosy-verse, things in that 'Verse will happen differently. You're right though, Nosy (and all Fluffs) are very long-lived, so it would still have been alive

I see this one as being set just before Ianto and Jack leave earth for a life out among the stars. They'll probably travel with the Doctor for a bit before getting their own spaceship, they won't have time to get bored, they'll be far too busy!
