Fic Of The Week - Week Sixty

Welcome to Monday and the regularly scheduled Fic of the Week post! I'm a little later than usual this week because I had to go out and tax my car. I am now worn out. Took mum with me because she wanted to go to a couple of shops and then I couldn't find her. It should be easy, she doesn't move very fast.

Anyway, on to the fic! This week, for your reading pleasure, I have a little fic by the lovely wykling . Please Wake Me Up has 6 chapters and an epilogue and was originally posted 4 years ago, in February 2009. It's a post-Cyberwoman fic, who doesn't love those?

Summary: Lisa's death is crushing Ianto, what can Jack do to help him?

Also, because I happen to be reading it at the moment, I'm going to rec another fic here - Torchwood Et La Bête by wynkat1313 . This is a long one, 28 chapters and an epilogue, but I'm loving it. I've read the first 12 chapters already and I'm eager to continue. It's a reel_torchwood fic, based on Jean Cocteau’s La Belle et la Bête and it's well worth reading if you haven't already done so.

Summary: When the team is invited to France to assist in a UNIT investigation of unusual Rift Activity, they go with dreams of a quick mission and a chance for a little R & R. Instead they find a wall of roses, an alien, and a mystery. Really, you’d think they would know better by now, they are Torchwood after all,
and *nothing* in their world is ever simple.
