A/N: Double drabble.
The itch was driving Dee crazy; he had to do something about it before he completely lost his mind, but the moment he reached for it…
“Don’t scratch!” Ryo didn’t slap his hand away, but Dee suspected that was only because he didn’t want to risk causing further damage.
“But it itches!” Dee hated the whine in his voice, but he was reaching the end of his tether. He’d been knifed during an arrest a couple of days ago, and although the wound was relatively minor, just over an inch long, the paramedics had deemed it deep enough to require stitches.
“Good, if it’s itching that means it’s healing, but if you start scratching at it you might open it up again. You were lucky to get away without needing the stitches replacing last time you scratched at it.”
Dee squirmed in discomfort, gritting his teeth against the interminable irritation. “I would’a been more careful this time, just a soothin’ little rub around the edges.”
“And next thing you knew you’d have blood all over your t-shirt again.”
“I just want the damned itchin’ to stop!”
“It will if you let it heal.”
“Yeah, if it don’t kill me first.”
