A/N: Double drabble.
Dee wasn’t feeling too good. He’d been trying all morning to ignore his discomforts and just get on with work, but his nose was stuffed up, he kept sneezing, and his eyes were watering. If it had been springtime, he might have thought his allergies had kicked in early, but it was midwinter, with snow on the ground, a bitter chill in the air, and not a flower to be found anywhere, except in a florist’s.
“Are you okay?” Ryo asked, frowning worriedly at his partner.
“Does it look like I’m okay?” Dee hadn’t meant to snap, but it was such a dumb question, even for Ryo at his most airheaded. Sighing, he rubbed at his eyes, hoping to ease the headache pounding away behind them. “Sorry, didn’t mean to bite your head off. I’ll be fine, just feelin’ a bit under the weather today.”
“I can see that. Maybe you should go home.”
“It’s just a cold, I don’t have a fever or anything.”
“That’s something to be thankful for, but if…”
Dee raised a hand to stop his lover. “Don’t say ‘I told you so’. You were right, I shouldn’t have spent so long out in the snow.”
