Doctor Who Drabble: Double Trouble
Title: Double Trouble
Author:
badly_knitted
Characters: Eleventh Doctor, Seventh Doctor.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 577: Duplicate at
dw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: On a distant world, the Doctor runs into himself.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
A pair of TARDISes and two Doctors, side-by-side and face-to-face. It’s like looking in a mirror, or it would be if both Doctors looked alike, but they don’t. This is him now, his current face and body, while the other Doctor is a version of him that used to be. Which one is it, the sixth? No, the seventh; that hat’s a dead giveaway. Fezzes are way cooler.
So not exact duplicates, not identical, more like fraternal twins.
He looks at the other Doctor, who looks back at him.
They speak in unison. “We have to stop meeting like this.”
The End

After I got past the summary, where I took it literally. I can only theorise what that must feel like meeting another version of yourself.

Thank you.
(I am amazed to meet someone who actually READS summaries! I know mine are crap, but thank you anyway! Most people skip them.)

True.*thinks of the Old Who series*
You're Welcome!
Really? I didn't know that was a thing. Personally, I find them very useful to prepare me for what's ahead.:)

Oh! Of course. You don't have to be a detective to figure that one out.*nods*
Not reading all the comments on another persons LJ post can also put one out of the loop. I did that once because I thought it wouldn't matter. But there's always a chance it will.*sighs*
