Summary: Bikky keeps outgrowing his clothes.

A/N: Triple drabble.
“Bikky!” Ryo sighed, exasperated. “Will you please stand still?”
“I’m bored!” the boy whined.
“I’m not exactly having fun either. I can think of plenty of other things I’d rather be doing than taking your pants up.”
He’d purposely bought them longer in the leg than Bikky needed at present, knowing that the way his foster son was growing they’d soon be too short on him. It saved having to keep buying new ones, but it meant he had to shorten them to start with, then lengthen them again as needed.
“How much longer?” Bikky fidgeted again, looking out the window at the bright sunshine and blue skies.
Kneeling beside the stool Bikky was standing on, Ryo straightened up, rubbing his aching back. “I don’t know, but the more you keep fidgeting the longer it’ll be. Do you want to wind up with one leg shorter than the other?”
“No!”
“Then hold still so I can get them level.” Ryo bent back to his task again, pinning the legs. He had two more pairs to do after this, but at least he’d be able to use this pair as a template. He’d tack up the legs on the other pairs and have Bikky try them on tonight, when he was getting ready for bed, just to make sure they looked right and didn’t need adjusting. “The last thing I want is to stick you with a pin.”
“When you’re done, can I go outside?”
“Yes, but you’ll have to change into something else first.”
“Well duh! I’m not going out looking like a pincushion.”
Ryo hid a smile. Sometimes Bikky reminded him so much of Dee it was funny.
“One of these days I’ll teach you to do this yourself.” He had a full afternoon of sewing ahead of him.
