A/N: Double drabble.
“Anything good in the post this morning?” Jack asked when Ianto came down into the Hub, sorting through the mail.
“Assorted junk mail, menus from a couple of new takeaway places. They might come in handy if we get tired of pizza. Then we have a couple of circulars, council tax bill, a survey… This one looks like it’s from Archie.” Ianto handed a small package to Jack; it was postmarked Glasgow and had the tourist office address on the front in the Scotsman’s spidery scrawl.
“Ah, that must be the homemade shortbread he promised me. We’ll save that until the rest of the team go home.”
“Anything to avoid sharing.”
“It’s my winnings from a wager Archie and I made on the Wales Vs Scotland rugby match, nothing to do with anyone else. Besides, I’m sharing it with you!”
“In that case, better tuck it away in your drawer, out of sight.” Ianto picked up Jack’s paperknife to slit open the last envelope.
“What’s that one?”
“A Thank You card.” Ianto smiled. “It’s from Mrs Patterson, the old lady I helped last week when she had a fall up on the Plas.”
“That’s my Ianto, always the Good Samaritan.”
