Summary: There’s a new kind of Weevil in Cardiff.

A/N: Double drabble.
Another day, another Weevil nest to clear out, only this one is… a little different from the usual run of nests. Weevils favour dark, damp places. The sewers are, for obvious reasons, considered prime Weevil real estate, and Torchwood has always been happy to let them live out their lives down there, provided they stay put and don’t cause any trouble.
But Weevil packs like to defend their territory from other Weevil packs, and sometimes the sewers ain’t big enough for the lot of them, at which point some get driven out and have to find somewhere else to live.
Most of the time that means the basements or cellars of abandoned buildings, sometimes derelict warehouses, but this time it’s a rundown suburban end-of-terrace house, with an overgrown garden and boarded up windows.
The Weevil family have made themselves at home, sitting around a lopsided table in the kitchen, eating rats cooked in a still-working oven. They’re using plates and cutlery from the cabinets, drinking what appears to be tea from chipped mugs.
Jack is taken aback. “Okay, this is new. Civilised Weevils.”
Ianto peers past his lover. “You’re telling me. This could be the next step in their Weevilution.”
