Summary: Ianto is taking a breather.

A/N: Double drabble.
Ianto sat astride a broad branch halfway up a tree, his back to the trunk, idly swinging his legs back and forth. It was a sunny but cold day in late autumn, perhaps not the best time for climbing trees, and his breath steamed in the early morning air, but with most of the leaves already fallen he had a grand view across Bute Park.
Probably he should be getting back to the Hub; he’d found what he’d come for, but it was completely innocuous, a small writing tablet from Coomeena IV, so there was no need to rush. Despite the chill in the air, it was looking like it would be a beautiful day. Sometimes it was worth taking a few minutes out of his busy day just to catch his breath and appreciate life. Days like this, there was a lot to appreciate.
Tomorrow it could rain, or aliens might decide to invade earth. Again. Or the Rift might go berserk, dropping junk all over Cardiff and keeping the whole team running around like headless chickens. But today the sky was a clear, pale blue and for the moment, all was quiet. Better make the most of it.
