A/N: Double drabble.
Halloween had been and gone, enjoyed by all. Jack, and to a lesser degree Ianto, had relished dressing up to take their brood Trick or Treating, although the kids had felt bad about having to leave Nosy and the Flufflets at home. With the innocent naivety of the young they’d thought their furry friends might pass as kids in costume. Still, they’d vowed to share their candy with the Fluffs, because despite being mainly vegetarian, the aliens had an undeniable sweet tooth.
Ianto had confiscated most of the candy, putting it well out of reach in individually labelled tubs from which the kids were allowed to select two pieces a day, one for themselves and one for their Fluff. Ianto told them it was so the candy would last longer, they’d still be enjoying it long after their friends had run out, and the younger kids had accepted his logic while Meriel smiled knowingly behind their backs. She knew their Tad just didn’t want them hyped up on too much sugar and impossible to control.
Sweets doled out for the day, Meriel unwrapped a packet of Love Hearts to share with Nosy. She still loved her Fluff best of all.
