Summary: Meriel is excited about her school’s sports day.

A/N: Double drabble.
Sports day was one of the biggest events of the school year and Meriel had been looking forward to it ever since it had been announced just after Easter.
“I’m going to be really good this year,” she told her daddies. She’d come fifth in the egg and spoon race at the end of her first year of school, and fourth in the obstacle race, which her daddies had said was brilliant and very well done, but she wanted to do even better this year. “I’m bigger and stronger and faster than last year, but all the other kids will be too so I’ll have to practice really hard.”
Using a ball and a borrowed dessertspoon she practiced for the egg and spoon race, and she spent quite a bit of time with Nosy in its jungle gym, chasing the Fluff around the track and scrambling over and under obstacles.
When the day came, she wished Nosy could be there to watch, but both of her daddies were there, which was almost as good.
They cheered her on as she came third with her egg and spoon, and then won the obstacle race. She could hardly wait to tell Nosy!
