A/N: Drabble and a half, 150 words.
“The charges will never stick.” Monty Dale, seller of slaves to anyone who could afford his exorbitant prices smirked smugly across the table at the detective opposite. He was so confident he hadn’t bothered demanding a lawyer. “It’s your word against mine, and I’m well known as an upstanding businessman. I’ve never had so much as a parking ticket. You don’t have a leg to stand on.”
“It’s true that getting proof of your illegal activities has been a bit… tricky,” Ryo replied calmly, “but I assure you we have everything we need to put you away for life. Have you met my partner?” he asked as the door to the interrogation room opened and another man entered.
Dale looked up and blanched. “You!”
“Thanks to Detective Laytner,” Ryo continued, “we got the entire transaction on tape. I think you’ll find you’re the one without a leg to stand on.”
