Title: Supportive Boyfriend – Follows ‘Training’
Fandom: FAKE
Author:
badly_knitted
Characters: Dee, Ryo.
Rating: PG
Setting: After Like Like Love.
Summary: Ryo has set himself an ambitious goal, and Dee has somehow gotten roped in to help him.
Written Using: The dw100 prompt ‘Train’.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: Triple drabble and a half, 350 words.
How Dee had managed to get roped in to helping Ryo train he had no idea. Maybe it had something to do with the fact he could never quite bring himself to say no to his lover.
He supposed it was a good thing he wasn’t expected to keep up with his lover on these ten-mile runs on foot, instead pacing him on his motorcycle, dispensing drinks as needed. Which when he thought about it, wasn’t such a chore. He could keep just behind Ryo most of the way, watching those long, leanly muscled legs working, and that deliciously tight butt bobbing along… He’d almost run off the road a time or two thanks to getting a bit distracted by the view. Ryo was a feast for the eyes in his shorts and sweatshirt.
No, in all honesty that part of proceedings was no chore, at least as long as the weather was fine. Neither was what came after each run, massaging his baby’s legs so he didn’t cramp up as he cooled down, joining him in the shower to help by massaging other parts… Anything that led to him getting hands on with Ryo had to be a good thing.
What Dee didn’t like about Ryo’s training sessions for the New York Marathon was having to get up at the crack of dawn practically every day so that Ryo could fit in at least a five-mile run before work, ten or fifteen miles if they had the day off. It was sheer torture!
On the other hand, Ryo really wanted to do this, hoping to raise money for Mother Lane’s orphanage, and Dee wanted to be a supportive boyfriend. After recovering from a serious injury Ryo had been determined to get back to full fitness as soon as possible, whatever it took, and that had somehow morphed into a decision to train for the marathon.
No way was Dee going to trample on his lover’s ambitions, so here they were, pounding the streets of Manhattan yet again. Dee smiled wryly, shaking his head. The things he did for love!
The End
