We don't have possums or raccoons in Britain, sadly. Beavers and wild boar have been reintroduced in places, but nowhere near where I live. Traffic is always a danger to wildlife, sadly.

They're fascinating creature, but they do need the right conditions and proper care. Yes, it was sad. We did our best but I don't think they were fertile anyway.

That's quite the stray to acquire! We've had tortoises, a lost guinea pig, budgies, the lovebird I've mentioned before, and a ferret I found in the garden. Everything but the tortoises and the budgies got back to their owners. Good thing with the ferret because my rabbit did not approve of it being in the cage below his.
