Hello and welcome to another Monday! Hope you're all in the mood for something dark and angsty this week, because that's what I've chosen. *evil grin*


You're Falling, Ianto Jones, Take My Hand is a 7 part fic from December 2008 by the wonderful morgia . The parts are short so it should be a fairly quick read.

Summary: Torchwood always save the day, but maybe not this times...

Most of the chapters are linked, but there seems to have been a mix-up with the links on the prologue and first part, which keep leading back to each other, so...

Prologue       Part 1       You should be able to find your way through the other parts by following the links.

I dunno, no one else seems interested and it's a little late to be juggling fic posting, mayb I'll wait until tomorrow when hopefully I feel less crap. My head has decided to ache and I just feel blah!

Have you read any of morgia 's fics before? She's French Canadian and comes up with some wonderful turns of phrase that probably wouldn't occur to you or I. Somehow English becomes more lyrical in the hands of someone for whom it isn't their first language.

I forgot it was fic of the week day too, because it was Veteran's Day here (bank holiday), we were in Atlantic City to see a show, and just got home. It FEELS like a Sunday!

Wow, that fic looks dark indeed. I'm looking forward to it.

I also think you should post your fic, but as it's, what, 10:30pm there, my vote is probably too little, too late!

Yeah, it's gone 11pm now and I'm going to bed soon. Sorry, you'll have to wait until tomorrow now. Been feeling too tired and crappy this evening to do anything much so I decided to leave it. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Yes, the link at the end of the prologue leads to the prologue again instead of to part one. All the other links work just fine though, it's just that one.

I love your Torchwood stories and I know there are still some that I haven't read yet. I'm always trying to find stories that some of the newer readers haven't come across yet, it's fun searching out the classics from the fandom's heyday. So many authors have left for other fandoms or vanished completely. there are new authors too though, maybe not as many but the fandom hasn't given up yet, we're keeping Ianto alive.

I've not read any of morgia's fics yet - but I intend to remedy that soon with this one :-)

I know what you mean about non-native English speakers making the language more poetical - it's one of the things I love about too_beauty's writing.

Life is not being so kind to me at the moment, everything seems to be conspiring against me so I hide in the Torchwood fandom, writing silly, fluffy fics and reading everything.

lt_indigo is quite new and has some good fics. This was the first of hers that I read:

There may be fewer writers, but they're good quality. milady_dragon is still writing, I really love her Dragon-Verse stories where Ianto is the last dragon in existence. lawford is also still writing but her journal is friends only now so you'd need to PM her and ask to be added. She writes really amazing stories though, I wish I could write half so well.

Exactly! There are others too. I beta for a German lady, occasional Torchwood but mostly Teen Wolf at the moment, and she has some lovely, irresistible phrasing. I have to be careful to preserve as much as possible while still fixing grammatical errors.

morgia has been missing from the fandom for a while, another casualty of CoE, but I'm hoping the new wave of writers might encourage her to return, first as reader and then maybe as a writer again. I miss her stories.

I'm busy writing drabbles at the moment, that's all I seem to have time for. Still, at least I'm writing something and keeping my bunnies from geting rusty, lol!

You should check out more of morgia's fics, she has lots of gorgeous short fics as well as the longer ones and many of them really are haunting.
