Summary: Dee won’t leave his bruises alone so Ryo decides to distract him.

A/N: Double drabble.




“Don’t poke it, Dee!” Ryo grabbed his partner’s wrist to keep him from prodding at the large, ugly bruise on his chest, the result of getting shot while wearing his vest. Although the bullet had failed to penetrate the layers of Kevlar, the impact had still left quite an impressive mark.


“I just wanted to see if it still hurt,” Dee grumbled, scowling down at the area of purple and black discolouration that spread halfway across his upper chest starting just to the left of his sternum.


“Take it from me, it does.” Ryo had been where Dee was right now just a few months previously and still vividly remembered how sore the resultant bruises had been every time he’d accidentally touched them. “Honestly, you’re as bad as Bikky! Poking at bruises won’t make them go away, it only makes them worse.”


“Lucky I was wearin’ my vest.”


“Very lucky,” Ryo agreed, leaning in to brush a feather-soft kiss across the bruise. Without his vest, Dee would probably have been killed. “Lie back and let me take care of you.”


“Mm,” Dee sighed. “If this is the treatment I get, maybe I should get shot more often.”


“Don’t you dare!”
