Summary: Bikky still can’t quite believe this is real.

Three weeks in and Bikky can still scarcely believe this is real, that he’s actually here in California, where the sunlight’s so bright it hurts his eyes. It feels like an impossible dream; he’s half afraid he’s going to wake up and find he’s still in New York, not even graduated from high school.
He surreptitiously pinches himself; he’s been doing that a lot lately, has the faint bruises to prove it. Nope, he’s awake, in college, and as of today, a starter for the basketball team.
This is where his life truly begins; his future has never looked brighter.
