“Yay, Thanksgiving!” Bikky’s enthusiasm made Ryo smile. “Turkey, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie!”


“Just not on the same plate,” Dee joked.


Bikky pulled a face. “Ew, no! That would be gross!”


“You two do realise there’s more to Thanksgiving than the food, don’t you?” Ryo asked. “It’s supposed to be about appreciating what you’ve got, being grateful for everything good in your life.”


“Well I really appreciate the food!” Bikky insisted.


“And I’m grateful for the guy who’s been cooking the food all year,” Dee added, smiling at Ryo. “What’re you thankful for, babe?”


“The two of you; my family.”
