Summary: Ryo and Dee are chasing a suspect again, but this one should’ve watched where he was going.

A/N: Double drabble.
Chasing suspects was always a hazardous part of the job. They’d hear the word ‘police’, because cops were duty-bound to identify themselves as such, and as often as not, take off running as fast as their legs could carry them. Ryo supposed that was preferable to having them produce a gun or some other weapon, but that didn’t necessarily mean it was a safer option, either for them or the person they were attempting to arrest.
Busy sidewalks and busier roads offered countless opportunities for nasty accidents. Cars, motorcycles, bikes, pedestrians, skateboarders, signposts and fire hydrants all had to be dodged. Roadside curbs and uneven paving slabs were just waiting to trip the unwary, and they didn’t care whether they were the downfall of the pursuer or the pursued, but…
Ryo was just a stride or two behind Dee, his gaze focussed on their fleeing suspect, when he saw it.
“Look out!” It was probably pointless shouting, it wasn’t like the man racing along some ten metres ahead of them and looking back over his shoulder was going to pay him any heed, and yet he had to try…
Splat!
Ryo winced. Straight into a wall. That had to hurt!
