Home sick with the flu, depressed by the idiots running my country so here I am on your site looking to cheer myself up. Just want to say thanks for the list of fic recs, some I have read and others are new to me, and say every one has been a winners.

I'm so glad my fic recs are helping you while you have flu - fanfic can be very soothing!

Mum is doing really well. She came home yesterday and can manage most things by herself, which is great. We have carers coming in to help her a bit, because my health problems mean I'm limited in what I can do. It's strange, but everyone has been lovely so far - two carers, a physiotherapist and a district nurse. There will also be speech therapists and an occupational therapist visiting from time to time.

I am glad she is doing better. Don't forget to take care of your self because I know how easy it is to neglect ones own health at time like this.

The hardest part is NOT rushing to help mum do things - she's supposed to be able to do things herself and I'm supposed to let her, but it's hard to stay back and leave her to just get on with it. She wouldn't have been allowed home is she wasn't able to look after herself.

Still, I've been able to rest quite a bit today, in between my chores.

You take care of yourself too, feel better soon!

That one really was terrific fun, wasn't it. I love the Hitchhikers Guide book series and the BBC TV series, though I've never seen the movie. Such a great idea for Ianto and Jack to end up on the Heart of Gold, and it's inevitable Jack would know everyone, so I was delighted that Ianto knew who Trillion was. Poor Ianto though, stuck there without even a good towel for comfort.
