Title: Gonna Be Me
Fandom: FAKE
Author:

Characters: Dee, Ryo.
Rating: PG
Challenge: Amnesty 8, using 71: David Bowie Song Titles – ‘It’s Gonna Be Me’ at
drabble_weekly.
Spoilers/Setting: Vol. 1, Act 1.
Summary: Dee makes up his mind soon after meeting his new partner that he’ll be Ryo’s first male lover.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: Double drabble.
It hadn’t taken Dee long after meeting his new partner to determine that the delectable Detective Randy Maclean was single, which Dee considered a fortuitous turn of events. It took hardly longer for him to reach the conclusion that Ryo was gay, but in denial. In a way, Dee thought that was a good thing too; Ryo wasn’t likely to be particularly interested in any women who might hit on him, and if any guys tried anything with him, they’d probably either be ignored or otherwise dissuaded.
That suited Dee just fine. He was going to be working closely with Ryo Maclean, and if he played his cards right, hanging out with his new partner after work was a distinct possibility. He could use all that time together to his own advantage, worm his way into Ryo’s life, chip away at his defences, and have his partner all to himself.
It was obvious that Ryo had never been with a man before, so best not to rush things too much. Slow but steady; that was the key. Keep pushing until all the barriers he’d built around himself came down.
‘Someone has to be Ryo’s first, and it’s gonna be me.’
