It never ceases to amaze me at the incompetence of a lot of the medical profession. I've had knee pain for years due to arthritis, almost had surgery, and Tuesday my rheumatologist's nurse practitioner asked if no one had ever suggested cortisone shots. No. Had them. Knee pain gone. Someone could not have mentioned this years ago? I don't know how they train medical professionals anymore, but it is truly the luck of the draw if you get someone who actually has a clue. Advocate for yourself, and always ask lots of questions. Hope this turns out to be nothing to major for you.
