A/N: This was going to be a short fic, but it wasn’t going anywhere. Then I saw this week’s challenge on tw100 and voila, my first ever drabble. Not great, but I never thought I’d manage to write anything in 100 words!
“We can’t keep it, Jack.”
“But why not? We kept Myfanwy!”
“Myfanwy mostly keeps to the top of the Hub, there’s plenty of space up there and it’s not like anybody else uses it, so she’s never in the way.”
“We kept Nosy!”
“Nosy’s smart, it keeps out from under our feet and it’s learned what not to touch.”
“We kept Velvet!”
“Velvet’s tiny and easy to care for.”
“But it’s cute!”
“I’m not disputing that. Though come to think of it, I could…”
“Well why can’t we keep it?”
“We have nowhere to put a full grown bloody Stegosaurus!”

Drabbles are mostly not for me, I find it difficult to be succinct, but this little idea wouldn't go away and it wouldn't turn into a fic either. Then I saw this week's prompt and the rest is history! I may neverr write another drabble, but I managed one, so I'm happy =)

Great job on your first drabble! I know what you mean about trying to write anything in just 100 words. Ten pages is easier than 100 perfect words, sometimes!

Jack, I suspect, thinks everything is cute! Ianto is used to Jack's many definitions for the word 'cute' by now. He'd only worry if Jack decided Steggie was hot!

Date: 2012-09-11 01:51 pm (UTC)Ianto doesn't mind the smaller creatures, but there are limits. They can hardly park a Stegosaurus in the garage beside the SUV, it's just not practical, and Ianto is nothing if not practical! Jack just doesn't think things through.

Date: 2012-09-13 10:04 am (UTC)It's a complete fluke, it must be, I'm too long-winded to wtite drabbles. I just had all this written as the start to a short fic, couldn't get it to go any further and it ended up being easier to cut out a few words, lol.
My boyfriend has known I'm insane for over 30 years, my latest insanity is no surprise to him. I think he's given up expecting me to be normal in any way. They adjust.
