No matter where they go, they will never forget, and it gives them a good reason to celebrate Valentine's Day without buying into all the commercialism. It's a win/win situation, especially as Ianto is forward-thinking enough to book the restaurant for the 14th months in advance. He's happy Jack still made an effort though!
