Summary: With Jack gone, it’s left to Ianto to keep the peace.

A/N: Double drabble.
Ianto slumped wearily onto the battered sofa, wondering exactly when he’d been shunted into the role of official Torchwood peacekeeper.
He was already the archivist, as well as part-time field agent, handyman, janitor, dispenser of food and drink, jailer slash zookeeper responsible for the care of sundry residents in the cells, quartermaster in charge of handing out equipment, file clerk, and errand boy. Now, on top of all that, he was expected to keep the rest of the team from killing each other! It hardly seemed fair. Most days he wanted to throttle them, or bang their heads together, see if that knocked some sense into them.
It was Jack’s fault. He’d disappeared without a word to anyone, leaving behind a bunch of misfits, half of whom thought they should be in charge during their leader’s absence. The constant butting of heads was driving Ianto round the bend; every time Gwen and Owen had another disagreement it was Ianto who had to get between them, often physically, and calm them down. Tosh sensibly kept her head down and stayed out of it. At least she never caused problems.
Ianto couldn’t blame Jack for leaving. He’d leave himself if he could.
