It had been a rough day. An alien creature had fallen through the Rift; frightened and confused, it ran into the road and was hit by a car. The driver hadn’t even bothered to stop.

Ianto, arriving on the scene first, found the creature alive but badly injured. He’d called Owen, but despite the medic’s best efforts, it hadn’t survived.

Ianto took the loss hard, so Jack did what any good boyfriend would; took his partner home for some TLC.

“Better?”

“Much better, thanks.”

“See? All you need is love!”

“Clichéd but true,” Ianto agreed. “The chocolate didn’t hurt either.”

I hated killing it, but getting hit by a car did oo much damage.

Jack is sweet, so is chocolate. Both together are doubly sweet. I wonder if Jack spread the chocolate on himself...

Awww, poor Ianto. I don't blame him for taking it hard. I get really upset when I see dead animals in the road. It'd be even worse if I tried to save one and failed. So glad Jack is there to help him feel better. :)

*pets Ianto* He did his best, but sometimes there's nothing you can do. It's one of the harsh realities of Torchwood. Jack understands though, and is always willing to help Ianto feel better.
