I vaguely remembered in the episode "The Rings of Akhaten, both Eleven and Clara eating some blue glowing fruit.
Usually it's some strange drink like in "The Long Game" or "Turn Left"
It's usually just chips that the companions eat with the Doctor. On Torchwood it was pizza.
No Problem.:)
