A/N: Double drabble.
Sitting at the table in his sister’s kitchen, Ianto tried unsuccessfully to stifle a yawn.
Rhi tutted. “Look at you, half asleep. Too many late nights, that’s what it is. You should try getting a few early nights instead of going out on the lash with your mates. What you need is a girlfriend, someone to make sure you take care of yourself.”
Ianto sighed. Not that again. “I haven’t been out drinking, Rhi, don’t have time for that. Work’s been hectic lately, been doing a lot of overtime, getting in early and working late.”
It was a case of having to. With Jack off who knew where, the rest of the team were struggling to keep on top of things.
It hadn’t been too bad the first couple of days, but then the Rift had started going berserk, no doubt the result of them having opened it without any kind of precautions. They shouldn’t have done it. Well, easy to be wise in hindsight. All they could do was deal with it and hope it settled down again before it killed them all.
“You should ask your boss for some time off.”
“Next time I see him,” Ianto promised.
