“This brings back memories,” Dee said with a grin, lying beside Ryo on their makeshift bed on the living room floor.

Ryo blushed, remembering a certain night the year before, and fixed his lover with a stony glare. “Don’t get any ideas; the only reason we’re sleeping here is because my aunt and uncle are using my room and you insisted on staying over. If you weren’t here I’d have slept on the sofa.”

“I just figured this way we could get an early start in the mornin’; you wouldn’t have to swing by and pick me up or wait for me to get here.”

Ryo was taking his visitors and his foster son to Long Beach for the day, and when he’d heard about their plans Dee had invited himself along.

“Yes, well, that’s true I suppose. The earlier we set out the better; we don’t want to get stuck in traffic.”

“Exactly. Now cm’ere.”

“Dee!” Ryo squeaked. “Not with guests in the next room!”

“Relax, babe; I’m not expectin’ a re-run of that night.”

“Good thing too, because you’re not getting one.”

“Doesn’t mean we can’t snuggle though, right?”

“Try anything and you’ll be sleeping in your car.”
