True but the definition of what nurses do has evolved over time. In some cases nurses are more capable of doing certain tasks that a standard doctor couldn't do AKA dealing with needles. They form a different kind of relationship with patients compared to doctors.
Doctors also have to deal with paperwork while nurses have to have knowledge of medication for patients that sometimes doctors overlook. Overall, one is not better over the other, they are just different and both are needed so that patients get the right treatment.
I'm lucky that my mum use to be a nurse so she could rely this type of information to me. I think I mentioned it before, along with my late grandfather who travelled a lot because of it.
