Rainbows and Memories

It's four years today, almost to the minute, since my mum passed away, so I was feeling down, but then I saw this...






Mum sent me a beautiful rainbow to cheer me up! It's difficult to see, but it's a double rainbow. We always stopped whatever we were doing to look at rainbows whenever one appeared so this one really felt like a message from above =)

Yeah, the last time it was free no matter how many times you fail. This way, they charge a booking fee implying that studying is essential.

I'm sure other people who have driven before the new road rules would agree with you. Most rules have change or been added to avoid mistakes that have happened in the past.

You'd think drivers would be kept up to date with changes to driving laws and road signs, but that doesn't seem to happen.

Apparently if they are good enough drivers then it shouldn't be an issue. There are still people who slack off though and that's really dangerous.

It would e nice to know what the hell new signs and road markings mean though...

But how do I know when there are new signs to look up?

Road signs where you are probably aren't the same as the ones here in England. I don't drive far so I probably won't encounter anything I don't recognise, but I like knowing, just in case.

I think it's once every year when they update. Most likely you can get a new edition in hard copy from the local registry.

Yeah, some road signs end up looking like some kind of code in pictures. This equals this etc.*shrugs*

Yes, signs aren't as straightforward as they used to be.

Thanks, I get sentimental and it triggers memories of my own in regards to people who matter to me. You can't take your loved one's for granted too.

I wished I had more time with my grandparents and less conflicted relationship with my father. I guess life challenges us so we can grow as people.*hugs*

It's good to surround yourself with positive people and also know not to let others dictate your life.

Yes, I never really knew either set of grandparents, never met my dad's father because by then my grandmother was with someone else. Met one aunt and uncle for the first time at my 18th birthday party and ever met my dad's oldest sister at all, although my sister knew her.

All mu=y aunts and uncles are gone now, with the possible exception of my dad's half brother and his ex-wife, but if the're still alive I don't know where they are.

Family can be funny in that sense. I'm only starting to connect with some of my cousins as an adult.

While others don't seem interested in me at all. I'm the one going over to Indonesia and they don't even acknowledge me. It's not like I go there everyday!

I guess you have to savior the moments with relatives that do care.

I have a cousin who lives locally, but never answers my phonecalls or emails. It's sad. I don't bother with giving them Christmas presents these days because last time they never came to collect them. Now my mum's gone it's like nobody bothers about me.

Anyway, enough of the gloom.

Thanks, I don't really celebrate my birthday but it's so nice to feel the love. My brother gave me a belated birthday greeting. He gets so caught up on Facebook! :D
