Double Drabble: Bugged
Title: Bugged
Author:
badly_knitted
Characters: Ianto, Owen.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 511: Insect at
tw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Owen is freaking out, much to Ianto’s amusement.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
“Argh! Getitoffme!” Owen ran the words into each other so much they were barely intelligible.
“What was that, Owen?” Ianto asked mildly as the medic waved his arms about and ran in circles.
“Get it off me!” Owen’s voice went up another half octave.
“If you’d just stand still for a moment I might be able to, but I draw the line at chasing you.”
Ianto and Owen were on a Rift retrieval in a wooded area just outside Cardiff. Everything had been going smoothly until now.
Shuddering to a halt, Owen froze while Ianto rescued him.
“Don’t know why you’re making such a fuss; it’s just an innocent little earwig. I did tell you not to sit on that rotten log.
The log had looked quite solid to Owen, who’d just wanted to rest a moment, but it had collapsed beneath him, showering him with bits of wood and insects. He hadn’t taken that too well.
“I hate bugs!” Owen backed away as if he expected Ianto to throw the tiny creature at him. Instead, Ianto set it down in the ruins of its home.
“You think nothing of being up to your elbows in maggot-ridden corpses.”
“That’s different.”
The End
